The call of this little avian has been found more complex than first thought. The higher the danger to these feathered ones, the more syllables are added to the end of its song, up to as many as 23! Size does not matter to the warning call; they can distinguish between large predators that are not as agile, and less of a threat to the smaller, more maneuverable menaces, which elicit a longer recital of its cry.

Clues:
Listen closely; you may hear this poor little thing hiding near the first peril that Miss Gale encounters. Back down the trail and as it takes a turn to the left, is a large fallen tree, which points to a pine. Behind this you will find your mystery avian.
