Head south on Rte. 146 until you reach the exit for Uxbridge, Rte 16. Take a left off the exit heading east on 16. Travelling past the police station on your left you will soon seen the road for "Mary's Woods" on your right. Turn right onto that road. At the top of the hill, continue to your right. This will bring you to Arthur Taft Park.
Founded in 1917, Taft park has long been established as the "town park" in Uxbridge. A nice park, wooden climbing structure, open fields, walking trails and a beautiful open, manicured pond. It has been noted that the pond could be a hazard for young children and parental supervision is recommended.
Park in the lot and head up the walking trail, keeping the pond on your left and the playground on your right. As you pass the play structure, the road will begin to rise and bend to the left.
At the intersection, head right. Follow this for a while until you come to a large boulder in the middle of the path. Just ahead you may see a small tree which is laying across the road itself.
Continue straight ahead until you come to another intersection. Go to the left until you see another pond on your right.
Stop just as you get to the pond. With the water on your right, look left and see a gigantic boulder. To the left of this boulder, you will see a small, less-travelled path. This way leads to the lobster you seek.
Head up the path a little way passing another huge boulder on your left. Looking to the right you should see a fallen tree graveyard.
Head towards the graveyard where the large boulder is under the tree.
Go under the break in the tree, and the lobster will be under the sticks of somewhat equal length. Under the "rock" is the lobster.
After stamping, go back to the path you were just on and continue in the same direction. Just ahead, on your right, you will see a firepit. Just beyond here there is an intersection of road.
Go left on the road and then take an immediate right. This will bring you back to the lower area and back to the parking lot.
Enjoy!
