Another easy rest area box. The stamp was carved for me by Talking Turtle, ring leader of the Alphabet Bandits and is the fifth and final one of the Magical, Mystical, Mythical creatures series. This is planted to give her easy access from home.
When entering CT. from N.Y. on Interstate 84 East take exit 2 to the rest area (if going west you must exit and turn around). Follow car parking signs and park near the first set of steps on the right. Walk up the steps and at the top site 180 degrees to a brown sign that says "Sanitary Dumping Facility" (not to worry, the box isn't there :-) At the sign site 180 degrees to a pretty good size rock (boulder) in the woods. Now be VERY careful crossing the exit road, making sure that all the baby bandits are in a row. Also be VERY careful about finding and re hiding it. I'm sure that on a nice summer's day, this place will be very busy and I'm already worried about the longevity of this box. Oh, by the way, the box is in the arms of a four sister beech behind the rock/boulder. Be sure to cover with more debris than you found on it. Thanks.
