From Waco, take Hwy 84 west to Gatesville. Take a left on 6th St, which is the road just past the Courthouse. Make your first right, which is Leon St. Drive approximately 1/2 a mile to a parking area before the Leon River. Pull off to the right (before the old iron bridge) and park in front of the large elm tree with a rusted sign about 7 feet up the trunk. Look left (across the road) and you will see a tree that branches into three trunks at the ground. Walk to that tree and turn to face the bridge. Walk 7 paces toward the bridge. Stop and look down to your right, there will be a large rock pile. Move the flat rock & look under the largest boulder. There you will find the DOUBLE FEATURE letterbox. Good luck!

This box was created to commemorate one of the only remaining drive in movie theaters left in Texas. I will say that if you have the chance you oughtta go visit the theater....The Last Picture Show. It's an incredible bargain at $5/carload Sun-Thurs and $10/carload on Fri & Sat. And, they always play a....DOUBLE FEATURE!
