Your journey begins in Hiawatha, Kansas. (City of Beautiful Maples) If you are traveling along Highway 36, take the Highway 73 exit north. Go to the first stoplight and turn east at Iowa Street. Drive to the Fisher Community Center. Park close to the bridge. Go over the bridge and face south. Go 23 paces to a willow tree. At the base of the tree, you will find your treasure.

After you find the letterbox, you can have a leisurely stroll along windmill lane which is located across the field from the letterbox. The windmills and wind chargers have been donated to the historical society by area residents. If the museum is open, make sure to enjoy the buildings and don't miss the interesting treasures found in the basement of the main office.

If windmills are not your thing, then go a little farther east on Iowa Street and enter the Mt. Hope Cemetary where you will find the Davis Memorial which is known world-wide. This memorial has even been featured on "Ripley's Believe It or Not"!
