Start at the city park that contains the same name as the county Minneapolis is in. There is meter parking, so bring quarters. There is also plenty of free street parking in the nearby neighborhood if you feel like walking a few extra blocks. Your journey will take you across the only bridge of its type across the Mississippi and through one of the oldest sections of the city. Start walking across the bridge near the group of black smoke stacks. As you walk across, you'll see one of the more spectacular views of downtown and the Mississippi. There are plenty of signs along the way to help you learn more about the role this important work of masonry has played in the development of the area. Continue on past the lock and the ruins of the old mills. Explore these if you wish (they are quite interesting), but remember to return to the main trail.

Take the paved trail that is closest to the river and follow the gold, erm, red brick road. Take the stairs by the snail. If you reach the family of toads, you've gone too far. When you get to the top of the stairs, head towards the steeple and take the first set of stairs that you come to.

Head east and follow the curve, past the Dotaku from our friends in Japan and follow the path across the wooden platform, weaving in and out of tables, around the pavilion and follow the red gravel path. As you round a curve, you'll spot "wisdom" off to your right. Keep following the red gravel path until it ends and head towards the steeple again. Off to your right, you will see another red brick road. Follow this. If you are tired, there are plenty of opportunities to stop and rest and maybe get a bite to eat (including the oldest restaurant in Minneapolis and a place that has fantastic fresh-squeezed lemonade). After you are refreshed, continue on down the red brick road.

Soon you will come across Pillsburys on both sides of the street. You're getting close! Your treasure rests in a low place just beyond the Pillsbury on the right side of the street. Look at the bottom of a large wooden structure for your prize. Please rehide well since this is a very popular spot!

***5/20/2006: There are two stamps in the same box. One of them is meant to be a replacement stamp from when the box went missing for awhile, but turned up when I went to replace it. Feel free to stamp into both of them or just stamp into your favorite.
