*** REPORTED MISSING 11/19/2006 ***

Located in the Lowell Woods in Westwood, MA

I-95/128 exit 16B to 109 W, L on Gay Street, L on Sandy Valley Road.

Small parking area at end of street.

This letterbox was planted on October 30, 2005 to celebrate Halloween.

Park in the lot and enter the Lowell Woods at the gated trail head.

Take the Sandy Valley Road trail until the Lowell Road Trail.
Follow the Lowell Road Trail for a while, the path will eventually lead up a slight hill. Right before the trail rises up and bends to the left there will be slight flat clearing and there will be a 5 tree cluster on the right side very close to the trail. At this point and in approx 15 paces on the right you should see another cluster of five small trees. Walk to the cluster and discover there are actually two groupings of trees, one with three trunks, the other with two. Standing to the right of the cluster, turn to the right. You will see a tall fallen tree that has fallen into the V of two trees. Walk straight until the tree is above you. Look straight and you shall see a smallish round boulder approx 3ft wide, walk to boulder. Behind this boulder is a large mossy covered tree stump. The hidden skull is planted at the left side of the base of this stump covered by sticks and leaves.

Please bring your own pen!

When you have finished logging in you can return to your car by backtracking else you can continue on the Lowell Road Trail up the hill and then loop back via the Rocky Ridge Trail to the parking lot. It will take approx 30 minutes to complete the loop.
