*** Recreational Area Closed 7/11/6 ***
I'm getting reports that this summer, the rec. area is closed for repairs?? There is another way to get there, but it's a much longer hike.

There is a man made lake named 'three brothers'. Not the damn, but a couple miles further upstream is a seperate recreation area. Park in the unpaved overflow parking lot just above the paved parking area near the lake (a path connects the two lots if overflow is closed). At the west corner of the lot is a trail maintained just a bit better than a deer path. Follow this trail (the best you can) back then right. This is a short hike. If you go straight long enough you will hit a big open field. You should find a very old graveyard. From the south/west corner's 'Historic Site' sign, take 16 steps down the path that leads to a big open field. On your left you will find Skippin' School in a 4 in 1 tree.

It seems the 'recreation area' is closed between Dec. 15th and Mar. 1st. Another option is to park upstream by the bridge and hike downstream for a couple miles one way.
