Our Frolicsome Frog has decided to take an inspirational break in a park named to honor Major Charles Lee Tilden, the first president of the East Bay Regional Park District's Board of Directors. To find him you will walk about half a mile on a paved trail most of the way. You may bring your dog on a leash.
From Orinda take Camino San Pablo to Wildcat Canyon Road and into the park. Park in the lot for Inspiration Point.
Walk southwest on Nimitz Way. Stop at Goodman's bench. If you reach the 1/4 mile marker you have gone too far. From the bench go up the hill on a small path to a glade with 8 or 9 large pine trees. Go to the pine tree at the top of the glade that has a large fallen branch. The frolicsome frog rests between the upright and fallen trunks under pine needles and bark.
