In 1947, Charlie Mary Noble formed one of the first amateur astronomy clubs in the United States, the Junior Astronomy Club, in Fort Worth. Children came to meetings to learn about astronomy. Their parents tagged along, and became so enamored, that in 1949, an adult society was organized, and the Fort Worth Astronomical Society was born.
The Fort Worth Astronomical Society (FWAS) is comprised of a local group of amateur astronomers that share a common love of the night sky. They meet once each month to discuss various aspects of astronomy, ranging from astro photography to telescope making. They also volunteer their time and talents at a monthly star party, hosted by the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.

CLUES:
The FWAS box is located in Forest Park, in Fort Worth. From Forest Park Blvd, heading South, turn right onto Rockridge Terrace. You will see a yellow City Park sign at the turn. The park is on your left. Park in the parking lot to the right. Walk through the fence, down the steps. You will see a sign that says, "Tillery" near the playground on your right. Follow the sidewalk down the second set of steps. Cross the large circular field. Walk down the hill (be careful) to the sidewalk. Turn Right and follow the sidwalk to the fork. Veer left. Walk into the trees, down 8 stony steps. The box is hidden in a dark hole under a large rock that you will find at a compass bearing of 172 degrees. It is concealed by several rocks. Please rehide well.
