Begin your Oregon history lesson on the University of Oregon campus, at the green sign in front of the Museum of Natural History.

Parking:
The Museum of Natural History is located on 15th Street behind the University of Oregon School of Law. The most difficult task involved with finding this box could be finding a parking space...If you are lucky, you will find one on the street near the museum (if you are coming M-F between 8am-6pm, bring change for the meter), or park further down the street in a 2 hour space.

If you aren't lucky enough to find street parking, you can park in the Law School parking lot--free on the weekends, but if you park here during the week, you chance getting a $12 ticket. If you park in the parking lot, find a spot closest to the museum. (To be sure it is the correct corner, look for a bunch of handipcapped spaces.)

To the box:
Start from the green U of O sign on 15th Street that reads "Museum of Natural History."

For a lesson on native Oregon plants, walk around the arch in front of the building.

Find the "Willamette Meteorite." Take note of how much it weighs. Take the number of tons it weighs and walk that many steps to your right.

Stop and turn to your left. Walk around the building, keeping close to the cement "curb" that stays close to the building.

Stop when you reach a rock walkway on your right. It walks up to a big green box. Check this walkway for a loose rock with a letterbox hidden underneath!

***Please rehide carefully, making sure to pack stones around the rock so that you can't see the letterbox from any angle. This is a heavily traveled area.***
