03May06: Looks like the construction is complete, I was able to put the box back in its original hiding place! I've updated the clues abit, hopefully to make them clearer.

Location: Robbins Farm Park
Directions: Eastern Avenue, Arlington, Massachusetts
Length: ~ 15 minutes roundtrip
Stamp: Self-designed and hand-carved
Box: Micro (tube), bring stamp pad and pen. Log book is in form of a scroll.
Parking: Free, along both sides of Eastern Avenue (during school hours certain areas are off limits).

This microbox is located at the Robbins Farm Park in Arlington Heights which has, IMHO, not only the best view of the Boston skyline, but the best playground slides as well. Always a great place for a picnic, playing a game of softball or soccer, and watching the Esplanade’s 4th of July fireworks. Oh yes, and another activity depicted in the letterbox.

Head for the information kiosk (a little up the hill from the playground, across the street from the Brackett Elementary School building on Eastern Ave). Facing the kiosk (with school directly behind you) take the paved path on the left. Stay on the left (path will split off on the right to the very cool slides and playground), climbing up a small hill to a flat area of white concrete with four benches behind it.

Go to the center of the concrete, benches behind you, and stand on the “star” facing Boston – what a view! If 12o’clock is straight ahead, follow the 11:00 line to the end of the concrete – can you see a lone large rock (~ 3 feet tall), directly in front of you further down the hill? Go to it.

Again, assuming 12o’clock is facing Boston (forgot my compass today!), go to the 10o’clock side of the rock and in this line take 33 steps slightly downhill towards the tree/houses. There will be a small dirt path heading down to the street. At the start of this path, walk back uphill 11 steps parallel to the houses on your right. At this point you are standing at the edge of the grass and a small woodsy rocky area. Face the trees – a metal chain link fence coming from the left should be ending here way in the back, at a tan/yellow house.

Take 3 steps into this small woodsy area and turn left. Walk another 8 paces - you should now be almost underneath a tree forming an Omega (upside-down U). This tree’s trunk is on the right, and after looping over you (very tall people may need to crouch a bit) it approaches two rocks, touching down on the left side one. Your prize is with the rock on the right side– near its bottom left, snugged under there and covered with smaller rocks.

Since this is a popular park please be discreet. This is my first microbox, please let me know how it is working!
