REPORTED MISSING: JULY 30, 2008

We were going to spend a night in Danville, Ohio and noticed there were no letterboxes in Knox County. So, we placed one. This is Amish country--drive carefully. You might see an Amish buggy or two.
Gambier is east of Mount Vernon off route 36. Take 36 east until you get to route 308. Go south to Gambier. Kenyon College is in the heart of Gambier. We will start at the bookstore at Kenyon College. The bookstore is great! It is open 365 days a year. Explore the bookstore if you have time. Be sure to bring ink!
Okay, ready to box? As you exit the bookstore turn left (south) and head to the Kenyon campus. You'll pass through two stone pillars. (There is a beautiful church on your left. If it is open it is worth a peek.) Notice the sculpture of Renaissance Man and Woman on your right.
Continue on the main gravel walk. Take the paved path beside the angels dancing above your head. It leads to a "Henry Moore" like sculpture, but the courtyard is name for Philip Mather, so maybe it's his. At the sculpture walk past Hayes Hall and go under the walkway between Hayes and Tomsich Hall. Looking uphill you'll see a cemetery. Go up to the cemetery--to the rear of the mausoleum. From there, site the northwest corner of the cemetery. There is a lonely stump. Inside you'll find the Book Worm.
Let us know if you find it or if there are any problems.

There is another box, Amish Buggy, nearby in Millersburg.
