***Missing - will replace when I'm back in the area.

This stamp was carved by Pony Princess (11 yrs. Old) and CW Sun Seeker and placed near the Leeds Creek Kiln, on the road to Oak Grove Campground.

Historic Silver Reef is an old mining town. The Leeds Creek Kiln was built in 1890 to produce charcoal for the silver refining process in Silver Reef.

DIRECTIONS:
From I-15 take the Silver Reef/Leeds exit #22 and go to Silver Reef, west of I-15. Follow the signs directing you towards Oak Grove Campground. You won’t be going that far for the box, but check it out – it’s a beautiful place for a picnic.(It's usually closed in winter, for snow, so there might be a road closed sign; but the box should still be accessable) Going a short few miles, watch on the right side of the road for a turn-out for the Leeds Creek Kiln. The sign will indicate the Children’s Forest. The trail has informational signs along the way, provided by a children’s group.

CLUES:
Go to the kiln, following the paved path. There is an information sign in front of the kiln. Go around to the back of the sign, staying on flat ground along the row of trees and bushes, taking 18 steps. Look for the rock cairn on the right, next to the last tree and go up hill, straight ahead for 43 steps. This should lead you to the partly dead Juniper tree with a dead trunk sticking up and some dead branches sticking out. The box is at the base of the tree under rocks, sticks and leaves on the left side.
