If you are in Fort Worth, and you have never been to the zoo, it is absolutely worth a visit. It is ranked as the number three zoo in the country, behind only San Diego and the National Zoo in D.C. It is also the number one tourist attraction in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Admission is required, which is $9.50, but Wednesday is half-price day.
Pick up a map when entering, and find the tigers. Fort Worth has orange tigers and white tigers. If you stand by the railing, at the apex of the wooden bridge overlooking the waterfall, the orange tigers will be to your left, and the white tigers will be to your right. Take a compass reading of 260 degrees, and take 10-11 steps in this direction. The pickly leaves guard the box.
Got it? Great, now go and enjoy the rest of the zoo!
