Heritage Park is situated in the northern sector of the City at Via de Mansion and Wheeler Avenue. Each spring, residents and visitors have an opportunity to pick oranges in the midst of the City's agriculture and citrus park and museum. At different times of the year, the park hosts a variety of seasonal activities with picnic tables, a gazebo, and stage area. This is a qaint little park in a residential neighborhood. No pets are allowed in the park.

Before I give you the clues, I would like to tell you that this is a very special kind of letterbox. I planted it while visiting my mother, Purple Iris and family for the holidays. I am formerly from the state of Washington.

This letterbox is designed to be a tribute to loved ones, pets, family members, strangers, celebrities, organizations, etc., and is designed to be added to with many tributed stamps.
Before finding this box, I ask that you carve a stamp in the image of a candle to represent a tribute to someone or something that means alot to you. Bring the stamp with you and stamp the image of your candle in the logbook labeled "Tribute Logbook". Please write a message in the logbook stating who or what the tribute is for, sign your signature name, and leave your candle stamp in the box for others to stamp into their letterboxing journals. In the letterbox logbook, stamp your personal stamp image just like you would any other letterbox and any other information about you that you would normally write. Now to the clues:

When you locate Heritage Park in La Verne, follow the path that takes you around the gazebo and head to the picnic table at the far end of the park next to a light post. Standing at the light post, face in the direction of the hillside and find a large Eucalyptus tree to the left. At the base of this tree is the letterbox hidden under a log and debris. Please rehide carefully so that this letterbox can be enjoyed for a long time to come. Also, please be discreet when finding and rehiding this letterbox since this is a very small park with many visitors. Take the letterbox to the picnic table and have a seat and enjoy reading the tribute messages left by others.
