*UPDATE*
The Box is alive and well with a new stamp book in the box as of 28 Dec 2006.

This is our first box we have done. My 6 year old daughter is “The Butterfly Girl” and designed the stamp for the box. My daughter calls the park the “Sunshine Park” for unknown reasons but we know what she is talking about when she says it.

The Butterfly Girl – "I like doing it with my family, it’s a family thing. And so that’s why I decided to put one down."

Location: This box is located at the Hilton C. Schott Park in Humble, TX. The address is 8620 Will Clayton Pkwy.

Directions:

From the intersection of Beltway 8 and Hwy 59: Go north on Hwy 59 and exit onto Will Clayton Pkwy which is the exit for Bush Intercontinental airport. At the light you will be turning right or away from the airport on Will Clayton Parkway. You will pass the DPS office and Harris County Courthouse Annex number 3 all on the right side of the road. You will come to a stop light for Old Humble Rd. Continue straight through the light. You will pass the Humble Civic Center on the left. Right after the civic center will be the park on the right side of the road. There are two entrances to the park. You will want to take the second one or the one for the covered picnic area. It is approximately 1.3 miles from Hwy 59 to the park.

Clues:

Park at the covered picnic area and walk through it to the fence line where a walking path is located. This is to the east of the parking lot. There will be a small play area located near the fence and also a small brown covered building housing a water fountain. Make your way to the walking path through one of the openings in the fence. Close to the water fountain will be a sign saying “Start” and also stating the path is a mile long. Begin your walk here walking until you see the one-quarter mile sign. At the one-quarter mile sign you will walk 18 adult steps or 26 kid steps back to a pine tree sitting next to the fence. This is the only tree next to the fence and it is a tree that has two trees growing out of one trunk. The box is buried behind the tree, between the tree and the fence. After you are finished please rebury the box. Please contact us on the status of the box when you find it at leesea@earthlink.net . Enjoy!!
