*** STATUS UPDATE AS OF 11/24/06: BOX IS MISSING :( ***

Vital stats: Hand carved stamp. This is “suburban boxing” (as opposed to “urban boxing”). Depending on the time of day, there could be quite a bit of motor vehicle activity in the area. There will likely be very little pedestrian traffic, I would imagine. Once you figure out where the box actually IS (therein lies the challenge!), it is a drive-by box. There is no hike as such; basically you can simply park, stamp in, and drive off.

Because of the suburban nature of the location, I ended up (for the first time ever!) wrapping the entire box in camouflage tape. I hated to do it (no box named “Cute as a Button!” should have to be wrapped in camouflage tape...), but I think it was necessary. The reason I mention this is because you may want to come prepared with scissors, extra baggies, camouflage tape, etc. in case the unwrapping and re-wrapping process doesn’t go as smoothly as one might hope! :)

This box contains a first finder’s bonus! :)

I would describe this box as located in Maple Glen, Pennsylvania. It’s definitely in Montgomery County, PA. My car’s GPS system gave no actual town name for the location, but identified it simply as “Horsham Township/Upper Dublin Township.”

Ready? Here are the clues:

-- Blue clothing drop
-- Blood and bandages
-- Royal head of the “maids a-milking”
-- Rusty old pole with two blank wooden signs attached
-- God’s Property
-- Occupation of Tevye’s son-in-law

When the spot you do discern,
An apt reward you shall have earned.
Locate the asphalt-bursting tree...
Look inside and shout for glee!!!

Please let me know of your find and of the condition of this box. (Oh, and please re-camouflage it very well!) My trail name is Swallowdale and you can reach me online through LbNA or AtlasQuest. My e-mail address is JSH11A@aol.com. I trust that you enjoyed this challenging (I hope!) letterbox! Thanks for hunting for this one and happy trails to you!!!! :)
