***** UPDATE 12/4/10: I adopted this box from Swallowdale and recently heard that the location was taken over by geocachers! I moved the location of the box and included a hand carved stamp. Thank you to everyone who found the previous installment of this box!*****

Jeremiah finished playing with the wierd holey tree. "Aunt Peshie, let's continue to walk to down the trail. I want to look for snakes on the big rocks." I try to keep up with him, but he is running away again.
I notice a beautiful stone and wood house across the stream. "What a gorgeous house but the taxes have got to be insane," I thought. I start to think about taxes, bills and real life problems when I notice Jeremiah up ahead of me. He is sitting on a large stone in the middle of the trail.
"Aunt Peshie, I am a copperhead! Sunning myself on this rock! Look the trails make an X here. I like the letter X, it's like X-Men, X-Box, and X marks the spot. I like X! I am hungry, can we go back to the car now?" Jeremiah heads off on a new trail but back toward the car.
Not too far on this new trail, Jeremiah yells. "I see a L and a V! Just like my friend Levi! He has an L and V in his name. Can you find those letters Aunt Peshie?"
I get to the area where Jeremiah yelled. I see a L in the shape of fallen logs on the right hand side of the path. "I found the L," I say. "Oh, and there is the V. The giant sycamore tree nearby makes a V. That was really cool, Jeremiah."
"Can we go explore the giant V?" Jeremiah asks before taking off again.
"Sure, but watch for owl pellets. I bet this area has owls at night," I say trying to get him to listen. "There are lots of owls that live in this area, but my favorite is the great-horned owl." "Why is is called the great-horn owl? Is that like Hedwig?" Jeremiah asks. "Does it have horns?" "Not the great-horn owl, great horned-owl. And no, it doesn't have horns, but feathers that look like horns. No it's not Hedwig, she's a snowy owl. It's really rather neat!" I say trying to impress him.
Just as we approach the giant V an owl takes off toward the water. Resting with our back to the sycamore, we watched the owl glide across the stream. "Look, Jeremiah! I knew there was going to be an owl. It looks like she dropped something about 5 feet away by that large tulip poplar tree. Go check in out! Make sure to remove the rocks carefully."
Jeremiah found an interesting owl remnant at the base of the tulip poplar under some rocks. "Can I take it home with me?" Jeremiah said. "No, we better leave it here, others may want to find it too." "Well we better head back to the car, it's starting to get dark." And I was tired, having a seven year old can sure exhaust even the most enthusiastic :)
