Find the spot in the Carmichael Rec & Parks District where Carolus would feel at home. Once there, stand on the bench with the artificial shade & rummage around.
With my dad's job having to do with in this area's speciality & my family living within 2.5 miles of this area since I was 3, I'm amazed we never stopped here. So, enjoy this haven in the city I've always seen driving by, but never stopped at until today.
(I've realized this box might be hidden a bit too high for some people. Sorry, I didn't think about that when I was hiding it. The best hiding spot in the site was already taken by a Geocache. GRR! If you get out there & find you can't get the letterbox safely, email me & I'll send you a scan of the stamp for your book.)
NOTE: There are regular work parties here every 1st Saturday of the month from 9AM-1PM. The park officials have approved this box & said they were going to forward the approval to the work party organizer, but it might be best if you plan to hunt for it outside the work party time.
NOTE: This park's gate has been closed to prevent cars from getting stuck in the mud, but according to the park officials you can walk in during park hours (8AM-Sunset). The signs on the main road say "No Stopping At Any Time", so to plant the box, I had to park on one of the side streets down the main road & walk back into the park.
