Lots of up and downs!
Take CT Route 34 to Lakeview Terrace. At the end of Lakeview, turn right onto Hawthorne Avenue. Turn left onto Chatfield Street. Osbournedale State Park is on the left.
From the pavilion, take the red trail over the causeway and into the field. At the sign post with the red blaze, go left, continuing to skirt the field. The trail will go into the woods and go up, up, up. When you meet up with the yellow trail (on right), go left to stay on red. Almost immediately, you need to turn right to stay on the red trail. Keep on red even when blue trail meets on the right. When you get to the yellow "Warbler Trail" on the left, turn to face the yellow trail. You will notice a stone wall to your left, holding up the dirt for the trail. Hop down and go three steps along the wall (with the wall to your right) and look inside the wall at chest height for the New Haven County Box.
PLEASE REHIDE VERY CAREFULLY SO THE BOX CAN NOT BE SEEN! IT IS RIGHT ON THE TRAIL AND MAY BE SEEN FROM RED TRAIL IF NOT HIDDEN CAREFULLY!!!!
