Confirmed missing by the gift shop in April 2008. If anyone ever decides to adopt or replace this box, please be very careful of where you place it. The sanctuary has areas of endangered grasses and habitat that are not suitable for letterbox placement. Please do speak with the sanctuary staff before placing a letterbox here.

The non-profit Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is heralded as the largest wild bird hospital in the U.S. and is dedicated to the RESCUE, REPAIR, REHABILITATION and hopeful RELEASE of rehabilitaed sick or injured native birds. They are open 7 days a week from 9am to sunset. Donation at entrance.
Directions to the letterbox:
Find the large wooden statue of the brown pelican and park. Go past the songbirds and the sleeping owls. Find the fountain at the turn. Go through the gate and across from the gooney birds. Turn to those raised tree plantings across from the gooney birds. In the tangled roots of the tree that's in the corner close to the path and next to the wooden fence, you will find the treasure, a long reach.
