Robert Louis Stevenson was a Scottish essayist, poet, and author of fiction and travel books, known especially for his novels of adventure. His most famous works include Treasure Island, Kidnapped and The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde. His characters often prefer unknown hazards to everyday life, and many of his stories are set in colorful locations, so its no wonder many people have enjoyed his books throughout the years. You can pay homage to him at Robert Louis Stevenson State Park, the site where he spent his honeymoon in 1880. The park includes a monument dedicated to the author and a five-mile hike to the top of Mt. St. Helena. You don't have to hike to the top to find this microbox, but if you have time it would be worth it.

Directions:
Robert Louis Stevenson SP is seven miles north of Calistoga on Highway 29. Turn left and park.

Clues:
Walk about 50 yards into the park to the Stevenson Memorial Trail sign. Follow the trail one mile to the stone monument. Continue straight on the trail for 25 steps to a group of 4 trees on the right about 4 feet above the trail. The camo microbox is on the back side base of the first tree under a rock. You should be able to reach it from the trail. Please re-cover well.
