Highlight: beautiful isolated oasis in a rugged canyon.
Mileage: 3 miles(round-trip)
Time:2-3 hours
Difficulty:Moderately strenuous (we have a 5 year old and he has no problems)
Elevation Difference: 360'
Total up hill Travel: 820'
Restrictions: day use only, no horses or bicycles.
Access: Fortynine Plams Parking Area. Take Highway 62 to Canyon Road in Twentynine Palms. Canyon Road is located 4 miles west of Adobe Road(traffic light) in 29 Palms or 1.75 miles east of Indian Cove Road. Drive south to the end of Canyon Road.
Clues: At the end of the trail you will see a resting rock in the first palm tree grove you come to.
2. stand on the resting rock and turn on the rock until you see an "X" on a palm tree.
3. At the base of the palm tree you will find the letterbox.
This is our first letterbox and we would like any feed back that you are willing to share.
Have fun and good luck.
