THESE LETTERBOXES HAVE BEEN RETIRED

From Dewdney Trunk Road, head south on 252nd Street. This street very quickly becomes 251st, and ends at the Creek Falls parking area.

Walk past the playing field at the right, and the kiosk at the left. Enter the trail and walk to the crossroads where you'll stay true. You'll come to a bridge - turn right and walk to "Lovers Leap" to enjoy a view of the river canyon that is part of Kanaka Creek. Return to the bridge, cross, and turn right hugging the wooden fence. Descend the steps for more Creek Falls views. Leave this area using the trail to the right of the steps and find the sign directing you to North Fork Loop Trail. Take this route and enjoy your stroll. Not far along you must turn left to keep to the trail. Love is in the air! From the solo stump in the middle of the trail, pace 17 and look left. You may feel an instant attraction to the constant and faithful cedar standing there. (The legend of Cupid is rooted in Roman mythology; and, Eros is rooted in Greek mythology. I know - I looked into it.)

Continue along watching for the coniferous hugging an old, old friend. From this loving embrace take a few southeast steps and pass over the long engaged nurse log. From here, some ladies may become dreamy-eyed when they look to the east and catch site of the fir tree. He's the big, strong, silent type. (Is the orgin of the kiss rooted in history? Maybe you should look into it.)

Continue along and cross one more bridge, and before you know it, your Valentine Stroll will be completed.
