Another easy box in beautiful Descanso (www.descansogardens.org) Gardens (pretty close to the "feather falls" box). The Enchanted Railroad is a small scale train that offers rides for adults and children through the scenic gardens. The train runs only on weekends except for the Spring flower festival when it runs every day. The train costs $2 per rider in addition to general admission to the gardens. Get a map at the entrance. When you enter the gardens turn right at the "Center Circle". Make a left turn to continue down the "Promenade". Pass the Sundial and make the first left turn just before the wood gazebo. Walk across the bridge toward the wishing well. Cross the train tracks and turn left (always keep an eye and ear out for the train). Follow the tracks a few feet and turn right just before the flamingo. You will be facing a large (Redwood?) tree about 20' in front of you with two trunks. Walk around the right side of the tree and face the back of it. At the base of the left trunk behind a clump of shoots you will find the letterbox (be careful of poking yourself in the eye). If you continue along the tracks past the flamingo, you will come to a bench where you can watch the train go by as you stamp.
