We live near a gorgeous easment to the Boise National Forest Lands (and BLM?). Our indoor cat once decided that she wanted to check out the happenings, so she one day just picked up and scooted right out the door before we could disagree.
WELL! Her first stop was a parking lot near our place which happens to be at the north end of 12th St and Heron.
From there, she got out of sight, but we had last seen her heading up the south side of the hill called Camel's Back.
By the time we reached the base of the steps, we could sense we were close on her tail. We had to catch our breath there, so we enjoyed the view of the city across the horizon.
What? We heard a little faint meow. Starting at the metal post [at the base of the stairs] we stealthily stepped 24 times on the path downward slightly towards the Northeast. When we stopped, there was a BIG oversized esoteric "arm-y" desert plant about 15' UP the hill to our left.
We're pretty sure that if you are quiet and stealthy you may still find KITTY KITTY near the base of said plant.
