4-02-12 Aweehedgehog carved and planted this series of boxes. We're going to head out and see if all the boxes are there - and if not, replant those MIA. Stay tuned.
Supplee lane is a favorite spot for dogs that love the water.
This is an easy walk through the woods

From Md. Rte 29
At the intersection of Rte 29 and Rte 198 go East to Bond Mill road. Take a left at the light and continue until you reach Brooklyn Bridge road, take a right and then a left onto Supplee lane. If the road is closed (Dec.15-Mari)walk down to the boat ramp.

From I-95
take the Burtonsville Exit (Rte 198 West).Take a right onto Bond Mill Road and follow it to the end;then take a right onto Brooklyn Bridge Road and then a left onto Supplee Lane. If the road down to the boat ramp is closed (Dec.15-Mar 1) you can walk down the road to the boat ramp.

. . .

Box #1 Dog Paddle Beach

From the boat ramp parking lot take the trail to the right. When you see a five in one clump of trees on your left and a light grey stone to the right of the trail, turn right at the stone and follow the left creek bank for approx.14 paces. Look left and find a fallen tree nearby. In a hole in the stump you will find what you seek.

Box #2 The Ole’ Fishing Hole

Back on the trail you will continue through the woods to the beaver dam. A short distance past the dam you will find a two-in-one tree shaped like a U on the left of the trail. Go directly uphill from the tree and find a large rotten tree stump. Under some rocks you will find your prize.

Box#3 Beaver Watch

Once back on the trail pass by the large flat rocky outcropping ( a good fishing spot ) and follow the trail into the woods. Keep on the trail around the inlet and cross the muddy creek. When you reach the spot opposite the beaver dam across the inlet, look to your right and find a large fallen tree. The box is where the tree splits.

Happy Hunting
