Access S-B-N-P at 2032 Forrest Green Drive. This is an 810 acre nature park with 5 miles of paved trails, 5 miles of primitive trails, river overlooks and a wetland observation platform.

To get to the trail head and parking area, drive about 3 miles south from Briley Parkway and Gallatin Pike. Turn east on Stratford Ave. Turn left on PineHurst. Turn right on Welcome Lane. Turn left on Forrest Green. It seems weird that such a great walking/biking/rollerblading/petwalking area is hidden away in a neighborhood, with no signs directing you to it.

Once you find the parking area, park and start down the paved path. Not far you come to another paved path that leads to the left. Don't turn on this other path, continue straight. About 15 steps past the other paved path, there is a pile of big rocks. Standing in front of this big pile, and facing the pond, listening to the croaking frogs in the pond, the letterbox is under (behind) the big stone, on the right side of the pile of stones, covered with smaller rocks. A few steps farther takes you to a bench, in which you can sit and enjoy the fresh air while you stamp in.
