As of 04/08/2014 these boxes are unavailable...the detectives have retired!!

After the infamous Flamingo Caper of 2005 several of the detectives summoned by Luvvy Huffington decided that they enjoyed the hospitality at Huffington Manor so much that they chose to stay behind and put their crime solving skills to work in Central Massachusetts.
From downtown Leominster go up West Street and take a left onto Pond Street. Take a right off Pond Street onto Elm Street. Stay on Elm for quite awhile until you see a gate and sign that says Parmenter Road on the right. Park there, taking care not to block the gate.
Enter the trail and go straight. Shortly after the stone wall on the right make a “T” there will be a hollowed out stump on the right which shelters that oh-so-cool dude from Hawaii, Magnum PI. Re-hide carefully and continue on the main trail.
You will pass a Parmenter Rd. sign, stay to the right. Look to the right for a twin oak, opposite a stone marker on the left that conceals the ever-elusive Pink Panther.
Continue on the main trail until you come to blue blazed trees on the right at an intersection. Take the trail on the right a few steps and look behind a rock on the right to find that lovable Belgian who always uses his “little gray cells” Hercule Poirot.
Back to the main trail, you will pass by Fenton Road on the right, shortly after that look for a sign for Rocky Pond on the right, off the trail. Take the trail down to Rocky Pond, shortly before reaching the pond look for a faint trail off to the right. Walk down through laurel bushes to a large flat rock to find the mistress of mystery writing, Jessica Fletcher.
Head back up to the main trail and, opposite Hell's Highway on the left, look for a faint trail on the right. Take that and cross the stream to the opposite side. Look behind a large rock on the left to uncover that sophisticated couple for whom it’s always happy hour, Nick and Nora Charles (and Asta, of course).
Go back to the main trail and take Hell's Highway. Walk on for awhile, after descending a slight hill on a curve, look to the left and you will see several large rocks, one of which serves as the perfect hiding place for everybody’s favorite sons, The Hardy Boys.
Walk on a shorter distance down another hill and just before a brook that crosses under the path look off to the left for an even larger rock to find the new residence of the head of the Baker Street Irregulars, Sherlock Holmes.
Continue on Hell's Highway until you come to Wolf Road on the right. Go a short distance up Wolf Road and, opposite the Wolf Road sign, look to the right for a cluster of not-so-large rocks to find that detective extraordinare, Inspector Clouseau.
Continue along the trail and after about 5 minutes the trail curves off to the left, take that it is Brook Road. Follow Brook Road to a large ratio tower, bear left and continue a short distance until you see a split rock at the base of a pine tree on the right. Look behind to find the beloved British doyenne, Miss Marple.
At this point you have successfully uncovered (and recovered!) all the detectives who decided to take up permanent residence in Leominster. Before we go on to the next series, which will lead you back to your car, I must give proper credit to the carvers and creators of the detective series.
Magnum, PI—Der Mad Stamper
Pink Panther—the lazy letterboxer
Hercule Poirot—Choi
Jessica Fletcher—Brandy, you’re a fine girl
Nick & Nora Charles (and Asta)—Sewsowbizzy
The Hardy Boys—Uneksia
Sherlock Holmes—Gingerblue
Inspector Clouseau—the lazy letterboxer
Miss Marple—the lazy letterboxer
Now, you are ready to embark on the next series on this trail:
MUTTS
Mutts is a comic strip created by Patrick McDonnell, it is one of my favorites.
In the same split rock as Miss Marple there is a second box planted. Butchie. Butchie is the proprietor of the Fatty Snax Deli. This is the only box in the series to have a logbook so be sure to stamp in.
Walk along a short distance (in the direction back to your car) and just before the trail bends to the right look off to the right a large flat-faced stone with lichen on one end. Look behind to find Millie. Millie is one of Mooch’s owners.
Continue on the trail as it bends to the right and left. As the trail begins to descend slightly and becomes rock strewn look to the right for a dead 3-sister tree with a fallen log near it. Ozzie is in the center of that coppice tree. Ozzie is Earl’s owner.
Continue along through a grove of tall pines. Suddenly you will come to a section of new growth pines on the right. Look for a mini-clearing with a 5-ft. piece of cut log. Look behind to find Mooch, the cat.
Continue on as the trail gently winds downhill. You will pass a crossover on the left to Parmenter Road, just after that look to the right for a tangle of downed trees off the trail to find Bip & Bop, the squirrels.
Continue on, Brook Road, which you are on, will now join up with Parmenter Road. Stay on the trail until you come to a trail/road on the right. Walk 18-20 steps down that trail to a stone on the right side of the trail. Look under some bark to find Frank. Frank is Millie’s husband. Mooch’s other owner.
Continue along, soon the end of the trail will be in sight. Look to the right for a moss-covered stump on the trail. Immediately after that is a wide break in the stone wall on the right. Go through the break and take 10 steps to the right to find Earl, the dog. Mooch’s “partner in crime”.
