One pace = two steps

Locate the no-name cemetery on SR 374. It is .01 miles south of the Fisherman’s Parking Lot (which is for Rose Lake). Watch for some steps on the east side of the road, a super large cut stump and a fence all visable from the road. There is a gravel pull-off area directly across the road with a “No Hunting Zone” sign.

CLUES
MARY HAD ONE - III
(((Some of you may already have this one)))
Once inside the cemetery, salute the Korean War Veteran, Army Sgt. Butler. From there go 11 paces at 350 degrees to pay your respects to the person who has gone home in the front of the cemetary in May of 2004. From there take a reading of 210 degrees and walk 15 paces to Jesse Williams final resting place. Note Jesse and the rest of the Williams are now facing the back of the cemetery. Head due west 2 paces and pet the sleeping lamb. From the lamb go 5 paces at 310 degrees. You WOULD HAVE BEEN looking for a micro box hidden 5 ½ feet off the ground hidden behind a piece of bark that doesn’t belong in this tree, but yours truly pushed it too far inside the tree...and yes, it dropped down inside there for the rest of eternity?! Now what you ask?! Now go 16 paces at 350* from where the first box is hidden deep inside the tree and find where box number II WAS HIDDEN. IT WAS at the base of this new tree in between the fence and the tree under a brick but someone didn't like it there and SO (AS OF 08.10.06) THERE IS A NEW STAMP AND A NEW LOG 8 PACES @ 152* FROM THAT TREE BESIDE THE FENCE. Mary Had One III is hidden behind a brick in the crevice under William J Sim's dismantled grave marker.

GRAY SQUIRREL
Now go back to that tree next to the fence. From there go 14 paces at 142 degrees. You will find this squirrely little guy hiding behind that tipped, leaning headstone.

(((One of my other passions in life is to study animal tracks. It seems to be unending in the small details that can tell so much. Each letterbox having to do with tracking will hopefully share at least one bit of new information. If you collect these tracks, take time to compare them and you will learn from simply that.)))

After you stamp in your log book, flip the actual stamp so that the pattern side is up and lay it on the paper right beside your stamped pattern. You should now be looking at a pair of hind prints on top and a pair of fore prints below. This pattern indicates that this animal is a "bounder" because it's hind feet are longer than it's fore feet. As it bounds, it's hind feet come forward in front of it's fore feet. This happens only when it is running or bounding. When it walks, it alternates like other ground walkers do. The pairing when bounding is also an indication that this squirrley little guy is a tree climber. Also note, that gray squirrels have a difference in the number of toes in their front v. their hind feet. Now that you have counted 5 for their hind and 4 for their front, finish this print by making a second track right beside the first and mark in the toe nails for the missing ones on the hind prints. The tree climbing ability of these animals is also what allows them to bury walnuts...sometimes resulting in trees growing too! It would be REALLY nice if this guy could retrive my first box inside that tree?!

COLOR YOUR EASTER EGG
So Mary's little lamb and the squirrely little guy got together and decided to be proactive and help the Easter bunny out this past spring. Look on the high side of the base of that cedar tree where my letterbox fell inside.

No need to be descrete with this one. NO ONE knows this place is up here!!! Hey...and if you can get that first box out of the tree without cutting down the tree, I'll make a new letterbox in your honor!!! :-)

Please let me know if you find these.
