This box is another in the series to honor state symbols of Oklahoma in honor of our 100th birthday in 2007. The Lynn Riggs Players of Oklahoma, Inc. were designated by our legislature as the official state theatre in 1971. Lynn Riggs of course lived in Northeast Oklahoma and wrote "Green Grows The Lilacs" which was the basis for the musical "Oklahoma".

Clues:

Take state highway 20 east from the Will Rogers Turnpike (I-44) exit 255. Before reaching the dam, the entrance for the state park will be on your right. Drive along the river about 3/4 the way to the dam and #15 will be on your left. Park either at #15 if unoccupied or across the pavement in the turnout by the river.
NOTE: If they are releasing water from the dam and the river is rapid, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REACH THIS BOX! Don't try. In our experience, they rarely release water, and they are repairing the dam, so it's less likely.
Walk down the bank and spot a gravel trail through the water to the south side. Before crossing, look acroww and spot a HUGE boulder @ 210 degrees approximately that looks like it's sliding into the river. A rock shelf extends from it to the right (westward).
The boulder is your goal.
At the top of the boulder there's a large crack where it broke off - the box is in the crack with a "head size" rock in front of it.
Happy Questing!
