"Howdy Folks" is an original poem of the State of Oklahoma and the Will Rogers Memorial at Claremore. It describes the dedication of the Memorial on November 4, 1938. In 1941, the poem was declared the official state poem. Written by David Randolph Milstein the poem can be found on line at http://www.state.ok.us/osfdocs/stpoem.html.
Clues:
Take exit 269 of the Will Rogers Turnpike (I-44) and drive east on state highway 28 through Langley, across the Pensacola dam, through Disney to Tia Juana. Turn right just east of the Tia Juana fire department and follow the road and signs to the Little Blue Disney State Park.
Drive around by the spring fed stream until you encounter "Extreme Danger". Park. With your back to the "Danger" spot the goal at approximately 315 degrees across the creek.
Note: This is only accessible if they are not generating and the water is low.
Cross the stream at a safe spot on the rocks. The box is on the west end of the bluff in front of you, near the top.
A small bush grows from the rock with a crevice behind it. In the crevice is the box.
The day we planted it, we encountered an eagle, a muscrat, deer and a cardinal! Enjoy the area...wading on a hot day would be great! It is a very interesting and unique area!
