The Ibex box is placed in Spring Canyon Stste Park, SE of Deming NM, a part of the Florida Mt. complex. The Persian Ibex were donated by Iran in the 70ts. They have thrived tho, we, when there did not see them.
To the box take Hwy 549 east to Hwy 143. South on Hwy 143 to the State Park. You might consider stopping at Rock Hound State Park first. There is a fee to enter New Mexico State Parks. The road in and out of the park is well worth the trip. Proceed through the park until you reach the last ramada (picnic shelter). Head up the trail that starts at the right of the ramada. The trail is rocky but will not be long. Past the first very large bolder is a smaller bolder split by a tree It is at the base of this bolder you will find the Ibex. Be mindful of critters such as snakes.
We would appreciate hearing of the boxes condition at j_a@operamail.org. Thanks for letterboxing. Jahla/Apigea
