From 1-65 take the highway 41A exit, turn onto S 156 (across from St. Andrews school). Go about 8.2 miles down this road. You will leave Franklin Co., drive through Marion Co. for awhile, and then re-enter Franklin Co. Turn right onto the gravel road marked 'Lake Road'. Follow this road down to the lake, where you can park. Tom Pack Falls trail begins behind the outhouse. The trail itself is only 3/4 of a mile long. Hike past the bridge over the creek and past the tree with the knobby knee and past the uphill bend in the trail. You will come to a 6 trunked smooth bark tree on the left. Take 50 more steps and you will come to 2 trees on the left next to each other. The letterbox is in the hollow space in the trunk of one of the trees, close to the ground, and covered with a rock to to keep it in place. If you reach where the trail splits into three, you've gone too far! From the point where the trail splits into 3, count back about 130 steps to find this spot.
