Take Highway 89 North from Fairfield. Turn left into the Freezeout Lake area. There is no clear sign from Fairfield directing you into the area, rather the sign is on the left facing the road. If you pass Mile Marker 31 you have gone too far. Grab a brochure in the parking lot at the information kiosk.
Take the right fork road and head North/Northwest. The parking area with an outhouse near pond three is your destination. Park and take the sidewalk N/NW. At the end of the sidewalk is an observation deck. Go to the small tree just N/NW of the deck. The box is under a rock.
This is a large stamp, so some repeated stamping on your ink pad will be necessary to get the ink onto the entire stamp.
