Fort Edmonton Park is a living history park that traces the growth and development of Edmonton. It is 5 minutes from West Edmonton Mall – drive south to Whitemud Drive and exit at Fox Drive (follow the signs – the Fort shares a parking lot with John Janzen Nature Centre)
Stay overnight at Fort Edmonton Park’s new 1920s Hotel Selkirk. Enjoy a ride on a steam train or a Stage-coach. Walk through history or enjoy a snack in a saloon – have fun!
Enjoy the nature around the park and visit the John Janzen Nature Centre
To locate the letterbox first find the old Fort. Do not enter the gates, for the treasure is outside. Walk about and look for a rocky trail with a pond near the Nature centre. Walk over the bridge and relax on the benches. Stand on the ramp leading to the forest. Look below to find an awfully cute stamp!
