Until I can get to this box to replace thelogbook you will find a mouse has made a meal of some of it. Please replace with a generic logbook and stamp the stamp into it for me if you would. Granny Butterfly

Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15 minutes. Distance ~ 100 yards round trip
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, compass, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.

The "Safari Man- On The Highway" series depicts things one might see as they drive the highways of the U.S. These are targeted mainly for rest stops but might pop up anywhere. This letterbox is titled WINTER PROTECTOR. Happy traveling!

Clues:
This letterpouch is located on the eastbound side at the rest stop on I 70 in eastern Ohio near the 210 mile marker. It is on the eastbound side and between the interchanges at the 208 and 213 mile markers.

Please be discrete when retrieving and replacing this box as the picnic area may be bustling.
As you are entering this rest stop be looking to the right at the grassy area (dog walk) encircled by evergreen trees. Park in the first available parking spot and go back along the entry road to this grassy area.
Enter the grassy area and notice the two man hole covers and stand on the westerly one (one to your right as you make the left turn into the grassy area). Taking a heading of ~ 275* (along the inner side of the trees along side the entry road), take 17 steps and stop beside the cedar tree, located just before the "Do Not Enter" sign behind it. The Winter Protector Letter pouch is located about 6 feet up in that Cedar Tree.... on the back side of the tree trunk. Unwind the wire hanger and take the box to your car for stamping.....if convenient. I hope you enjoyed this short hunt and I believe there might be other letterboxes in this and the rest stop on the opposite side of the road, if you have time.
Please replace the letter pouch as you found it with the wire securing the pouch to the tree trunk.
