The "Simba" letterbox is located in Mansfield Dam park, one of the Lake Travis regional parks. There is a fee to enter the park, but the pass is good for all the parks for that day. The park has some camping, diving, picnicing, boating, fishing, and swimming.
Directions:
From Austin, north on Hwy 183. Left on Loop 620. Just after you cross the Mansfield Dam, the park will be on your right. Follow the signs and enter the park. After paying fee, follow signs to the boat ramp area. Park near the boat ramp.
To the Letterbox:
Walk to the restroom building near the boat ramp, at end of turning circle. From here, go northeast to the rock wall ans stairs. Go down stairs to the bottom landing. Look southeast at 115 degrees. Walk to the tree that is leaning toward the lake. Behind this tree are 2 large rocks. The box is behind these rocks, covered by a smaller rock. Please be sure to put rock back over it.
