Approximately 1/2 mile round trip. Dog and kid friendly.

Miles Goodyear was a mountain man during the last years of the fur trade who built and occupied Fort Buenaventura in what is now Ogden, Utah. Read about James Brown’s purchase of the fort on this historic monument that is near the parkway trail leading to the letterbox. You’ll find this box along the river that shares the county name that Riverdale is in. The name of the road leading to the trailhead begins with this name.

CLUES: Park in the parking lot for the trail at the end of the road. Facing the river, walk to the left on the paved path and stop at mile marker ¼ mile, on the right side of the path. Across the path, from this marker are lots of trees, to the left. On the north side of the first clump of trees, find the small log pile. The small pouch is behind and under a rock.

Please zip all bags, be discreet and rehide well.
