Directions to Sowams School
From Providence take Exit 7 and bear to the right heading towards Barrington. Continue traveling on Rt. 114 (Wampanoag Trail) into Barrington. At your first traffic light in Barrington (white church to left) take a left onto Massasoit Ave. and travel over the bridge. Continue on Massasoit Ave. to the end and take a left onto New Meadow Rd. After Hampden Meadows School, take your first right onto Kent Street and follow to the end until you come to a stop sign. Take a left onto Sowams Road and continue down until you see Sowams School on your left hand side. Park in the parking lot and proceed to the back of the school.
At the back of the school, look for the two baseball fields. Walk over to the fenced-in baseball field and proceed to the outside corner of right field. With your back to the fence, head left and walk along the wooded area for approximately 34 paces. Next, look for three trees set back in the woods. Walk in the woods approximately 15 paces until you get to a mossy stump. Turn left 90 degrees and face the tree directly in front of you. Walk to this tree and look in the hallowed out area at the bottom of the tree. You've found it.
