Inver Grove heights is more than just "drive thru land" on the way from the Cities to Rochester.
The first step is to drive south on Hwy. 52 from 494 and take the 70th Street exit. At the top of the ramp turn left and head east to South Valley Park.
Park in the spacious lot and take the main path between the pavillion and the ball fiels. Continue on the path beyone the flat "sitting" stone on the left and the next boulder to where the trail begins to wind up a steep hill.
Just a few feet beyond the crest, you will turn left at water.
follow this path to the flat "sitting" stone on your right.
Place a compass on the center of the stone and, if you walk at 210 degrees for about 20 feet you will find two sawn logs which lie parallel to each other. between the logs under a rather wide broken branch you will find what you seek.
BE SURE TO WEAR LONG PANTS AS THERE ARE GOOSBERRY BUSHES NEAR THE SITE OF THE BOX-I HAVE HTE SCRATCHES TO PROVE IT!
