From the Merritt Parkway (either north or south) take exit 49N on to Route 25N. Exit at Exit 9, Daniel's Farm Road. Turn right and go north for .1 mile to Hedgehog Road. Turn right onto Hedgehog and go .4 mile to a brown sign for Beach Memorial Park. Follow the road around the circle to a small parking area in front of some posts and a picnic table.

Walk down the road SE for .2 mile. On your right you will see a small graveled clearing and the trail entrance marked by a green fence.

Walk down the trail for a short distance. On your right you will see an Eagle Scout project. Continue on the trail for about 4-5 minutes.

On your right, notice a high rock formation. Standing in front of the formation, notice rock 'steps' leading to the top. Climb up the steps and find the message rock with a tribute to the town of Trumbull carved in it.

Read the message--it's true! Climb to the left, around in back of the message rock til you are standing on top of it, facing away from the trail.

Take about 25 steps straight ahead.
Take about 10 more steps ahead to a group of rounded rocks, one of which is split cleanly into two halves. Just beyond this rock is a dome-shaped rock with some smaller rocks at it's base. Behind them, find the 'Spirit of Trumbull' letterbox.
