This is Princess Nicole's first placement and carving of a stamp. Thanks to NJCarole and Lucky Wolf for assisting with placement. Re-released on 10/13/07
Cylburn Arboretum is located off of Greenspring Ave. between Northern Parkway and Cold Spring Lane. Grounds are open dawn to dusk year round and include a historic mansion and museum. See www.cylburnassociation.org for further information.
Once on the grounds,park where busses go no more. Take gravel path to the right. Once at the chain link fence take Circle Trail to the left. At the "y" continue right on the Circle Trail. Take another right at the Etta Steme Wedge Birdwalk. Follow trail till it takes a sharp left. Find where a bench once was and imagine sitting and gathering your thoughts for a few moments. Look ahead and slightly left, over the edge of hill,and spot a smooth bark tree with cave 15 paces ahead. There you will find what you seek.
Continue on the path till it once again rejoins the Circle Trail and continue around the trail to the mansion house and various gardens and back to where you once came. You may want to take to opportunity to wander along the other trails while you are there.
