Flower Power
Trail Name Box
Location: Session Woods, Burlington CT
Difficulty: 1 hour tops- Easy Trail Great hike for kids.
Session Woods is located off Rt. 69. Pull into the lot and park anywhere you like. Head all the way over to your right to the Beaver Pond Trail. The trail is wide and easily traveled. A great hike for kids! Follow the trail for about 1/4 mile until you hit the Tree ID Trail. Take this and pass the various trees which are marked with numbers and their names. There is also a brook flowing alongside the trail. You may have to look close if it has been dry. You will come to a wooden bridge. Cross it and look for the stump which is due West of the bridge. (off the trail) once you find the stump, take a compass reading of 290 degrees northwest. You will also see three equa-distant trees leading you to an arched whole in a rock with climbing rocks around it. There you will find "Flower Power" Enjoy!
Hike length: 2-3 miles
