Make your way to Espada Dam, on Padre Drive about half way between Mission San Juan and Mission San Jose. Park in the small parking lot on the west side of where the river crosses over the road. From the parking lot, see and cross over the wooden pedestrian suspension bridge. Take 80 steps past the end of the bridge, see a clump of several big trees, surrounded by a cluster of tall prickly weeds and bushes on the right. Approach the tree from behind, and the letterbox is about knee high in the middle of the cluster of trees.
