Located at Chisenhall Park in Burleson behind the Wal-mart.
WARNING: THE CITY OF BURLESON HAS DECIDED TO RECONFIGURE CHISENHALL PARK TO MAKE IT THE CITY SOFTBALL COMPLEX, AND MUCH OF THE CURRENT PARK WILL BE BULLDOZED FOR THAT PURPOSE. AS A PRECAUTION, I AM GOING TO PULL THIS BOX, AT LEAST TEMPORARILY, UNTIL I LEARN WHETHER OR NOT IT WILL BE SAFE TO RETURN IT. FOR THOSE WHO MAY WANT TO FIND THIS BOX BEFORE I PULL IT, I WILL KEEP IT IN PLACE THROUGH THE END OF MAY UNLESS CIRCUMSTANCES REQUIRE ME TO ACT SOONER.
From the trailhead gateway, proceed down the trail approximately 60 steps to an intersection with a road that leads across the creek and beyond. Forego the temptation of the creek (aw, go ahead and play in the creek if you want to, but then return to this spot) and continue along the trail. Soon you will find that you are walking parallel to the creek and will presently come upon an overlook (good letterboxers are generally conditioned against overlooking anything, but in this instance I think that enjoying the view is permissible) as well as a number of side trails converging from the left. Remain resolute and continue straight on your path with the creek to your right and you will shortly discover that your trail is veering to the left and away from the creek. As you round the bend a meadow will come within view. At this point you should notice a small trail branching to the right. Upon following this new trail you will soon (within 5 steps) discover that the trail forks. It is here that you should be mindful of the sage advice of that philosophical sportsman, Yogi Berra ("When you come to a fork in the road, take it."), in this case taking it to the left for approximately 21 steps where you should find a large vine along the left side of the path. When you reach this vine, look to the left to see a faint path leading just to the left of some fallen logs and other woodland debris. Make use of this path to position yourself between the logs and the meadow. Here you should notice that there is a large fallen trunk lying parallel to the creek with two smaller logs or branches forming an inverted "V" pointing at the fallen trunk. If you place yourself between the two smaller logs with your back to the meadow, you should discover something Pretty in Purple under the smaller log to your right.
