Family Learning Center Pathway

1. Look for the duck
that feeds in the muck,

His bill is quite blue
His feathers look new.

His feathers say he is a male.
He is called a pintail.

Can you see why?

2. Look for a shell.
It has a story to tell.

This one swam in the sea
Graceful as can be.

Now there are few.
This one is shiny as new.

It is a hawksbill turtle.

3. Look for the stump,
It looks like a lump.

But this one has marks,
Where it was gnawed by teeth sharp.

The wood provided a dam,
Where the beaver once swam.

Can you see the beaver?

4. This on growls,
And sometimes it howls.

It runs after its lunch,
And eats mice by the bunch!

It is running towards you
Could this be a clue?

Letterboxers

Please take the time
It won’t cost you a dime.

Place your stamp on a page
It is all the rage.

Look for a box
This one doesn’t have locks.

It sits in plain sight
So it won’t give you a fright.

Use the stamp and the ink
You will then have a link….

To the Naturalist Center.
