There is a trail in Northampton County called the Nor-Bath Trail. It is, of course, named after the old English proverb:

Neither soap nor tub nor bath
Can cleanse what a vulture’s claw hath.

The fact that this trail connects the boroughs of Northampton and Bath is mere coincidence.

In homage to the pithy (and quite true) saying, we present this clue in Ye Olde English.

From Ye Olde Highway of Twenty and Two,
Take the roade of yon Schoenersville. Drive right on through.
Head northwest towards Northampton, towards thy swete prize.
And mark quick thy mileage, but on the roade keep thine eyes!

After three point five miles, turn right at Colony.
A park appeares on your left, lovely in the spring-ony and fall-ony.
This Bicentennial West is the Park of your sport.
So drive in, and park by ye olde bafketball courte.

Walk betwixt the courte and the tot lot, and find a paved traile.
This traile is the site of an erstwhile train’s raile.
Turn left on the traile, the direction of sonne’s set.
Take the traile to the roade. Ye are not quite donne yet.

Cross over yon road, but be careful of traffic.
Keep the wee ones’ hands near; we want nothing that’s tragic.
How far have ye walked? How might we deduce?
Just keep an eye on thy right for mile marker deuce.

Thou shalt cross over a bridge which traverses a roade.
Another bridge approacheth; your pace should be slowed.
This second bridge riseth over the waters of a creeke.
But the fence on the left leadeth to that which ye seeke.

Ere reaching the bridge, walk ye around the left fence.
With care, approach ye the bridge, and look in there hence.
In the edge of the bridge shalt thou find some wide gaps,
Between the planks which prevent an untimely collapse.
Look ye in the first one, for a suspicious pile of rocks;
Behind these should lie the Nor-Bath-Tub box.

Please seal everything well, and rehide well! Thanks!
