DIRECTIONS:
Clues: Easy
Terrain: Easy
Time: 30 – 45 minutes

This is a very busy park, please be discreet.

This hike can be combined with the Hawk Rock letterbox.

This is a nice easy walk around a lake on a fire road. From parking lot head to trails crossing the bridge. Lake will be ahead of you on right. Take fire road straight. Fire road splits in all sorts of directions after the pond, take right staying on fire road around lake. Eventually the fire road will lead to a clearing. At the far end of the clearing the fire road splits, go left taking the lesser used fire road. Shortly up fire road on right of trail is a stump. 23 paces at 20 degrees from stump is a boulder. Behind boulder, under a pile of smaller rocks is what you seek.

Please hide box hidden from view where you found is after stamping in.

Return to where the fire road split to continue your lake side stroll on the fire road the way you didn’t come.
